Reflecting the Positives in Me – #AtoZchallenge Reflection Post
What a coincidental post this is. We’re supposed to reflect back on our journey through the alphabet last month, yet the whole month I spent looking in the mirror and trying to find the positives within to reflect back at me through that mirror.
I learned a lot about myself. I learned not to listen to all those negative voices inside my head. No matter how hard they try to tell me what an awful person I am, that I will never amount to anything, that I have no talent, I have a minimum of 26 positive character traits I can go back and remind myself that I am good.
I’d like to challenge you to spend a month, even a week, maybe one day at a time, just to look yourself in the mirror and find that one positive trait you really didn’t think you had. We could all use a little more positive in our lives, and it starts from within.
My favorite one this year was realizing just how strong I am. Which one was your favorite? Any suggestions for another Positive Challenge just to keep the energy flowing?
If you didn’t have a chance to visit them all, I’ve compiled the list here for easy access. I’ve also added it to my Power of Positive page. I hope you enjoy!

Well done for completing the challenge. I didn’t get to your blog working my way through the linky list but had to comment on this to say what a wonderful set of posts you’ve made. 🙂

I think you had a strong theme that others could relate to. It’s hard to say what generates the followers and the comments. Asking the reader questions usually helps, but sometime it might be the nature of the questions or the way they are asked.
Keep at the blogging. I’m still trying to figure things out.

I think you’re an amazing individual… open-hearted and brave.
I loved your introspective theme. It’s an exercise we should all engage in from time to time… something we can all benefit from. 🙂

I loved your posts– I can look at the mirror in private, no problem– but to do it in public? Takes courage!
I enjoyed traveling with you on your AZ journey!

I enjoyed so many of yours Jai. I think maybe the N for Natural Beauty might have edged out the others as a favorite, but it’s a REALLY hard choice!!
Beautiful, intelligent thought-provoking wrap up. I love the reflections connection. I have your site bookmarked. (I don’t have facebook, so I can’t join on the connected blogs thing. Sigh, maybe someday I’ll cave and get on FB.) Can’t wait to see what else you have to say! I’ll be back around! 😀

I love your theme! Thanks for commenting on my blog today, because it helped me fine YOU. I’m on the other side of the coin…I suffer from chronic pain. It’s helpful for me to see that other side, since I have a very wonderful, caring husband who is going to be sainted one day 🙂 Anyway, I’m your newest follower (on bloglovin) and will be reading through your April posts…better late than never.

I liked your entire theme the best! Because i think it took a lot of nerve to post 26 photos of yourself and not get bogged down in either narcissism or self depreciation. You are amazing! So many of us out here feel like you do about the negatives and positives and I’m going to take you up on that challenge to every day look in the mirror and find a positive to start my day with. Thanks so much for the inspiration!

Oh my gosh! That just made me tear up! <3 I’ve never been one to like very many of my pictures, and even during this challenge I found some I really didn’t like. But I thought it only appropriate to share my attempt to put myself out there and show myself as a means of being positive about myself, even if I didn’t want to! Thank you thank you thank you for sharing my journey and taking me up on my challenge! <3 always!

I liked I am Worthy because that can be a tough one, especially for women. I like that you wrote messages right on the mirror. What a cool theme!
Here’s my A to Z wrap-up post. I also have an End of Challenge book giveaway going on for either contemporary romance or contemporary YA.

Thank you so much for commenting. I’m glad you liked my “worthy” post. 😛 I also like that. It was a toss up between “strong” and “worthy”. Strong won out in the end because of my past inability to see just how strong I was. I had always been know as a cry baby in my younger days and got teased for it. So I guess I needed to get out of that mindset so I can see. 🙂
