Reflecting the Positives in Me – #AtoZchallenge – T is for…

I'm Trustworthy

I’m Trustworthy

I believe in being honest, genuine. Along with those traits comes trustworthy. If I say I will do something for you, you can rest assured I will. I take pride in my work, in my love for everyone, and I just want to do the best that I can for everyone around me.

Not only am I trustworthy, I also tend to trust easily. Because I am honest and genuine, I trust that everyone else is too. Unfortunately, not everyone is and I have learned this the hard way, many many times. But what do I do? I keep on trusting everyone no matter what. Because if I don’t, I would miss out on that one person who is just like me. And that would be a sad day.

Love,

LadyJai

I have also learned the hard way and like you I continue to be me….I am really enjoying your posts.

What a wonderful post. You are right to keep on giving people the benefit of the doubt. It’s a much nicer way to go through life! I trust people until they give me a reason not to…then it’s hard to earn that trust back from me. My mom always said that when it comes down to it, all you have is your word.

I’m very responsible and trustworthy, but as far as trusting others — uh-uh. Been there, done that and it wasn’t pretty. My circle of close friends is tiny, and I like it that way.

If you are a person that keeps their word, that word becomes like currency. It is a rare thing these days indeed. Something we could use more of.

This is beautiful: “I keep on trusting everyone no matter what. Because if I don’t, I would miss out on that one person who is just like me. And that would be a sad day.”

I agree with that. I believe in standing by my word and being trustworthy as well. Others? Not sure I trust easily…and that IS sad too.

I can be the same, especially with new coworkers at the day job.

I try hard to say what I mean and mean what I say, but I actually am pretty slow to trust others.

Hope you’re having fun with the A to Z challenge,

Trusting people, knowing that you risk being let down, is brave in my book!
