April #WriteMotivation Update #1

Clay County Fair from the Ferris Wheel

Clay County Fair from the Ferris Wheel

April Goals.

Same as last month since March slapped me in the face…and I have a feeling this month will be no better. Work has taken all my personnel away from me but I still have the same deadlines. All work is falling onto me and it always comes in all at once. So I have 5 major projects all going on at the same time with deadlines within days of each other. Yay, go me!

I’m already exhausted. And the HOA is starting their inspections. I can’t keep up with the cooking, cleaning, and now the yard work. Hubs is still bad off. We think he’s managed to spread the Botox outside where it needs to be. So his pain has been exacerbated. He did manage to power through a few hours at the County Fair yesterday, though. So that’s something.

  1. Read through my WIP. This is the first step to get back into the head of my MC and the world he lives in. I hope. So, not yet.
  2. Write words on WIP. Again, not yet.
  3. Keep up with blog posts for both blogs – this one and my Caring for My Vet. I have been taking part of the A to Z Challenge so that’s good. And, I’m currently in the middle of writing another post over on the other blog.
  4. Comment/cheer on my fellow #WriteMotivation peeps on Twitter, FB, Google+ and their blogs. Been absent because of work 🙁
  5. Write motivational post for #WriteMotivation Haven’t gotten to this yet.
  6. Continue with my positive thinking I think I’m doing good on this. But sometimes, when I’m really tired,  it is such a challenge.
  7. Read another book. Working through Insurgent

*hugs* I’m sorry things haven’t lightened up yet.

Your county fair is like our state fair, though, O.O. It’s massive.

Hi, my April goal is to complete the first draft of my current WIP. I just have to put butt in chair and hands on keyboard and get those words out. Insurgent is on my TBR list :)

Hi. Well done getting ANYTHING done under your current circs. Especially the positive thinking – the worse things get, the more we need it.

I came here after you commented on my blog (“Bigger on the Inside”) and I’m glad I did. You have an engaging style, and I wish you all the best with your WiP.

You are doing fabulously on the A to Z, Lady Jai! Try not to worry if you are not positive 100% of the time…nobody is.

Ugh. Work woes are the worst. They derail EVERYTHING. Good luck. I’m rooting for you and tweet me if you ever want to talk.

  6. Ping from Doreen McGettigan:

I am not doing very well with my goals either but today is another day.
I hope you can keep thinking positive, it really does work.
