A to Z Challenge Theme Reveal

I decided to do the A to Z Blogging Challenge again this year.

As most of you know, I try to be positive and up beat no matter what life throws at me. But the latter part of last year found me sinking deeper and deeper into the dark abyss of negativity. I had to claw my way out. It wasn’t easy, by any means. But finding others who understood my situation, finally after 15 years, has really opened my eyes. If you’re interested in that story, I started another blog over at Caring For My Veteran, where I admit, explore, and work through the emotions of caregiving for my veteran.

So, sticking with last year’s Positive Post-It Notes theme, I will be doing another positive initiative. This one involves finding the positives within ME, writing them on a mirror and taking a picture. Reflecting the Personal Positives, is that a good theme title? What about Eliminating the Negative? If you have any suggestions for other titles, I’d love to hear them!

Can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeve for the A to Z Challenge! Good luck everyone!

Really nice place you got here, Lady Jai. You stand for so much and hang tough, there’s no greater example. About your theme query, I thought of Mirroring Positivity, but you can’t lose with your #1 pick. I look forward to experiencing your positive reflections : )

I try to be positive too. I like to surround myself with positive people. Glad to meet you! My A-Z challenge is Family History & Genealogy.

    • Ping from LadyJai:

Oh I LOVE Family History and Genealogy! I’ve dabbled in it there for a while until I hit a brick wall…something about needing to know Hungarian to trace that side of the family. πŸ™‚ And German…well, anything other than my English Heritage is my brick wall. πŸ™ Maybe one day I will have more time. But I am knowledgeable on my English heritage (Claypoole) all the way back to 1500 and then learned about the Wingate family that married into the Claypoole line. <3
      Thanks for stopping by!

  7. Ping from Diane Riggins:

  9. Ping from Alex J. Cavanaugh:

That is a really creative theme! And we could all use the positive.

    • Ping from LadyJai:

I agree. There is just too much negativity in the world today, especially aimed at ourselves…from ourselves. So, I’m trying to eliminate a little bit of my own negativity. πŸ™‚ Hope you enjoy it.

  10. Ping from That Dizzy Chick:

I LOVE this theme!! Can’t wait to see what you come up with. April is going to be very positive!

Negativity can suck us in like quicksand. Positive encouragement is always needed. Your theme should be a helpful one.

I hope I can show people that everyone can overcome their internal negative voice. This really was a challenge because I’ve never focused on my own positive attributes.

  12. Ping from Suzy:

I love your theme and I remember your post it notes from last year. Look forward to your Reflections (I like that title better)

  13. Ping from Tasha:

I love word play and that’s why I think I will stick to Reflecting the Positives. Thanks for your input and I hope you like them.

  14. Ping from Paula:

I will be reading along. I need all the positive words I can find.

    • Ping from LadyJai:

I hope I can help. This challenge is something that everone should try. We need to stop focusing on the negatives. We are all beautiful!

  15. Ping from Crystal Collier:

Sweet! Now that’s a theme. I LOVED your post-it notes last year, and I can’t wait to see your reflections. Dealing with difficulties or not, I adore you attitude. Here’s to being positive and bringing the cheese, eh?

  16. Ping from Tina Downey:

I think that’s an awesome theme! Doesn’t really matter what you call it, that you’re focusing on the positive is really important. I also read your article on Serotonin Syndrome and found that most helpful as I used to be a chronic pain patient and still suffer depression. I take hand-fulls of pills a day for four OTHER chronic illnesses. I’m going to be much more careful these days about interactions. I’m glad you’re taking on the A-Z again! Welcome back!

LadyJai, This is a tremendous thing you are doing, caring for your wounded husband; a Veteran of our wars. I am humbled before this kind of love and care that I see and I know it is not easy for you. It puts everything into perspective. Your husband is awesome indeed, to have maintained his sense of humor through out all this, and it will serve him well in years to come.

I cannot wait to read your posts and I think your theme is wonderful! I look forward to doing the A to Z challenge with you this year! Mary aka Viola Fury and on Twitter @ViolaFury

    • Ping from LadyJai:

Thank you so much. It has been a long road and challenge and the only eay I can get through is to remain positive. Sometimes it’s not so easy. But 24 years of marriage, 15 years of caregiving, we learn.
