June #WriteMotivation Update #2

So, I haven’t found much to blog about, yet…but here’s the latest #WriteMotivation update.

My Golden Rule On Writing First DraftsJune’s goals

1) Be Positive, Try to find the positive in every situation, no matter how small. I’m pretty positive, most days, so far. But for some reason, I’ve been really exhausted, and struggling to breathe lately. TheHubs says stress. Maybe. I do usually have after effects of stress. But for the longest now, I’ve been wondering if these “breathing issues” are NOT panic attacks since they happen when I’m not stressing…sometimes even when I’m sleeping. I’m definitely not worried when I’m sleeping…well, usually. And I haven’t had the worry dreams. So….I just wonder. But every time the I go to the doctor about it, he says it’s a panic attack and my Blood Oxygen is at 100%

2) Cheer others on with #writemotivation cookie flinging and positive thoughts! Last week was AWOL…this week was spotty. But I think I managed to fling a few cookies, if not do the DinoDance. If you need me, @ me wherever you need to! I’ll always respond. 🙂

3) attempt to FINISH THAT WIP! Or at least write SOMETHING! I’ve not touched the WIP yet. I’m actually kind of waiting on one of my CPs to get back with me so I can start learning to edit. The end I’ve written, is pretty much “synopsized” in the WIP; but I might not need it?  I submitted a short story a few weeks back, and I got an email from them stating “Good News/Bad News”. I’ve made it into the second round, but I have to wait another month in order to find out if they will publish it. *hold breath, turns blue, passes out* I did manage to start writing on the story for this anthology that caught my eye. I’ve got about the first third, or half, done and I was surprised to find out that getting into the head of a psycho was exhilarating. Yes, I am truly Dement-ed! 😛

4) find something to blog about other than these Update posts. Last week I incorporated it into my Update post. This week, well, so far I got nothin’

5) read another book.  So, I started the CP read-through. And OMG I have to say I love everything this woman writes! I love CPing for her! YAY! 60 more pages to go and this book will be done and I can go on to another book!

I hope you guys are doing well. Do I need to send NinjaDino over your way?

Yes, that one CP is me! I’ve been SO SLOW on CP work lately and I do apologise. I will get it back to you before we leave. Hope you’re holding up okay on the short story news!

  4. Ping from Patricia (@patricialynne07):

The thing about stress is you don’t have to be panicking to be stressed out. So you could very well be stressed and having it affect you. =( I hope you get it figured out though.
I’m waiting on notes back from a few writing partners too and OMG the WAIT! It’s killing me. Can I please have their suggestions now? lol

  5. Ping from Rebekah Loper:

I hope you figure out what’s going on with your breathing! Even if it is nothing but stress, feeling like you can’t breathe doesn’t help at all. *hugs*

  6. Ping from Angela Brown:

Keep it up with your goals. Your be positive one is my fave!

  7. Ping from Rachel Russell:

Good luck with your goals! I find it incredibly hard to be/stay positive. I’m a pessimist by nature and taught myself long ago to never get my hopes up. So good on you for that being an actual goal. I should probably incorporate that into my goals for the next Write Motivation.

Being positive, and surrounding myself with positive, I learned a very long time ago when TheHubs deployed. I kept the company of a wife who was always so negative about the whole deployment and it really brought me down, making it near impossible for me to get through the deployment myself. So, I cut her off, all ties, and focused on the positive. I was so much a better person for it and it made the deployment so much easier as well! So, I can attest that positive thoughts are truly healing…and the only way to live. I even did a Positive Post-It Notes for the month of April A to Z challenge if you want to check it out!
