#AtoZchallenge — Theme Reveal & March #WriteMotivation Week 3 Update

So, I’ve seen this thing, right? Like every year for the past two years, my friends go all blogging out, every day, to the letters of A thru Z, during the month of April.

They get all frenzied up and freaked out when they can’t think of a word that starts with Q, P, X, or Z.

It’s like a marathon for runners.

NaNoWriMo for writers.

A LAN party for gamers.

Pi for Mathletes.

The journey to finding the Higgs Boson for scientists…oh wait…they just found it

….never mind.

Now that I’ve decided to go ahead with this thing, I had to come up with an idea. I thought long and hard.

I waffled.

I teetered.

I nearly gave up!

But I decided, that’s the easy part…quitting.

So I thought some more. How do I do this? Do people want to read long-winded posts? I want to give some positive thoughts…just because we need more positive in our lives. I had the theme of positive, but how? How do I do it without losing people’s interest? And I finally came up with this:

Positive Thinking through Positive Words on Post-it NotesAs a way of cheering on, and helping my fellow #WriteMotivation friends through difficult times, I’ve managed to put together some Positive thinking through Positive words…on Post-It Notes.

These words can be used, not just with writing, but for life in general. We could all use a nudge every now and again. Positive thinking is HARD. It’s easy to give up. But nothing in life worth doing, living, achieving, is easy. The rewards will always outweigh the trials.

When life has you down
change your perspective
and turn your frown
upside down!

I know that’s a poem somewhere…just don’t know who wrote/said it.

Hope you enjoy my Positive Post-it Notes all through the month of April!

Make sure you stop by the other’s blogs and share the love!

March Goals:

1) Be Positive. This has been the biggest issue for me over the last couple of months. I REALLY need to work on it! I wrote all my Post-Its and took pictures of them, then scheduled all the blog posts for next month. I’ve been kind of vacant on Twitter because I’m now sick, but I will cheer when I’m there.
2) Encourage others to be positive and continue to make progress. I’m doing my best to be positive and encourage others who need it as well. I hope I’m doing ok with this.
3) Continue writing. Progress is progress, one word at a time. It’s just infuriating when you fail to get anywhere because of, well, life. :( I’ve been stagnating. I don’t know why I just haven’t had the energy I guess to get into the last two chapters of this novel. I think it’s being sick that’s got a hold of my brain and put it in some sort of fog. I’ll get there. I know I will! 🙂
4) I’m adding this after the fact: Read another book for pleasure. I seem to be able to manage a book in a month, or so–given the circumstances. I’m reading here and there. Being sick makes it so all I want to do is sleep….or veg. because, really, I can’t sleep when other people are awake. Plus, light makes it hard for me to sleep too. I’m weird, what can I say. 🙂

I hope you are doing well on your #writemotivation goals and I hope you will join me next month in the A to Z Challenge as well.

Awesome idea! I’m looking forward to your posts, and you are ALWAYS such a positive encourager to others on Twitter, so never doubt that fact. And I think the home stretch of any story is the hardest part, because you want to feel that all ends are tied up and that you got there the way you imagined you would. Keep at it!! You’re almost there 🙂
