September #WriteMotivation — Annnnd Go!

So, here we are with another Goal Check-in Month for #WriteMotivation. YAY! Checking in and posting my goals. Hopefully I will have more to say soon enough. 🙂

Let me start off with introducing you to my Golden Rule for First Drafts; one I must remind myself daily, sometimes hourly.

My Golden Rule On Writing First Drafts

September’s Goals are as follows. Here’s hoping I can complete them all! 🙂

1) Forward progress. No numbers. Those are not allowed in my world! I’ve decided. Please see my previous blog post regarding the reasons why! It really is freedom for me and I’m so happy to share with all of you!
2) Complete blog posts for #writemotivation and hopefully have a few extras in there as I’m all dried up lately.
3) If I get crits, do those in a timely manner. I currently have one, and I’ve been lacking on this already. Hopefully, I can get my butt in gear.
4) Read another book for pleasure. If I get a novel for crit, this may fall through the wayside. But I’ve listed it, just in case. I may have to put this one off because of #4.
5) And always, ALWAYS, provide unending support, cheering, and cookie flinging, to anyone who needs it. For this, see the picture below I got from @wishywash27  She’s not participating in this month’s goal check, but she’s a great friend and supporter.

Have some cookies….but you must #writemotivation first 🙂

What a great picture ^_^ And what a great philosophy for writing a first draft. I agree with you there – move forward no matter what. Edit later 🙂

Love the Photoshopping 🙂 I like to think we’re all that crowd at the bottom, cheering (and grabbing cookies). Rock those goals!! May this be a very productive month for you 🙂

(trying again! lemme see if I can remember what I said…lol) best T-Rex yet! 😀 😀 And I like what you said about progress…I constantly need that reminder! I often get down on myself for not having every day be a 3k day, but some days are just NOT supposed to be 3k days- Some days are 50 word days and that’s ok! And 50 word days are better than zero word days! Nobody ever said writing has to be an all or nothing experience, and I always forget that, so thank you for reminding me 🙂
